Excellence in International Business Award
for Bretby Gammatech
The full Bretby team attended the ICC in Birmingham last night as they were finalists in two categories, Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in International Business. The compere for the evening was Emma Jesson from ITV Central with Keynote speaker Andy Street who is chair of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership.
Giles Brandreth provided the witty repartee to round off the evening before the awards were announced. Bretby Gammatech was awarded the Excellence in International Business prize, which was Sponsored Birmingham Airport. The judges said that this was a ‘passionate small enterprise with 95 per cent of its business being conducted in challenging international markets’.
Six judges were involved in choosing the winners from hundreds of entries. They were Michelle Dowse (formerly corporate executive director, commercial development at Bournville College), Axel Wittenberg (senior vice-president, Leoni AG), David Smeeton (head of office, Colliers International), Alan Gilmour (head of strategy, Cogent Elliott), Steve Allen (head of Birmingham Office at Mills & Reeve LLP) and Russell Jeans (chair and business services director at the Chamber).
